Ceramic Roller

Roller Hearth Kiln is a conveyor type kiln. The kiln enables processing of material from one end to the other including the inspection, packing to be in one continuous cycle. This continuous kiln is the most energy efficient, because heat given off during the cooling cycle is recycled to pre-heat the incoming material to be fired..

Ceramic Rollers used in roller hearth kiln need to satisfy specific criteria such as excellent thermal shock resistance, high alumina content and good B.D. The straightness tolerances are very strictly maintained to ensure that the rollers are straight. If you are installing our rollers for entire kiln, we ensure that our technical service personnel come to train your personnel on how to load the rollers.

Manufacturing Facilities

  • Capacity of up to 160,000 rollers per year considering OD 50 rollers being fired
  • State of the Art German Mixer machine for uniform mixing for higher OD rollers AND High Alumina content ball mills and pebbles for smaller OD rollers
  • Special roofing used to completely avoid any contamination during the manufacturing process (such as dust, other organic matters etc).
Sourcing
  • Best raw materials such as various aluminas and china clays etc. are sourced by us with one idea in mind – source the best raw materials and be very strict in maintaining quality control of the same.
Process
  • Highly qualified and experienced staff is in charge of the manufacturing process with rigorous quality controls at each and every stage of the manufacturing.
  • Specifications are confirmed with the customer before finalizing the final dimensions. According to the customer’s drawing, rollers will be cut and drilled before dispatch.
Testing
  • All procedures are laid out clearly for each stage of the roller manufacturing
  • The experienced staff helps in ensuring the adherence to the procedures and instructions.
Applications
Futura Ceramics manufactures High Temperature Ceramic rollers. We manufacture OD 25mm to OD 65mm – length 1500mm to length 4600mm – all the different types of rollers. These are also called CERAMIC PIPES or CERAMIC TUBES.

The applications of the rollers are as follows:

  • Tile Industry: The conveyor type Roller Hearth Kiln (RHK) runs with Ceramic Rollers that rotate around themselves and transport tiles from one of the kiln to the other end. Rollers are very important for any tile plant. We supply rollers suitable for all the zones in the RHK, including in the cooling zone for pumping cold air, heating zone etc.
  • SS Patta Manufacturers: There are many SS Patta manufacturers who utilise the ceramic rollers for the stainless steel (SS) re-rolling purpose.
  • Lab Kilns: These alumina tubes can be used to support the kanthol element in the kilns, these tubes will not sag or bend, so element life will be more.
  • Hot air areas: These tubes cab used at very high temperature, hot air or fumes can be sent through these pipes, they will not get bend like metals pipes.
